Documents will show as (Missing) when the documents are not located in the file path that OfficeTools is pointing to. When all documents for specific contacts go missing this is usually due to the contacts name in OfficeTools being changed and an error occurs in the process of moving the folders and documents over to the new file path.
If the contact name has been changed and there was an error moving the documents over to the new file path, please follow the instructions below.
Navigate to the Documents file path, you can find this under setup> my company> information and settings> documents, in File Explorer will be a folder with the old contact's name and a folder with the new contact's name. Open the old contact's name folder and copy and paste all items into the new contact's name folder.
If the contact's name was updated multiple times at once due to spelling errors, this process will need to be repeated for each old contact name folder.
This should auto-update the items, if they are still showing as (Missing) close and re-open OfficeTools.
