If only some of the documents are showing as "Missing" in the modified column, this points to the documents being moved, renamed, or deleted outside our software usually through File Explorer. This can occur as OfficeTools by CARET does not actually store the documents themselves, but points to the file location your company has specified under the Documents Global Settings for the Document Management Folder.
To search for the missing documents we recommend the following.
- Navigate to the file path you store your OfficeTools by CARET documents under and use File Explorer's search feature in the top right to search for the document's name.
- If the search results find the document in question you can open the file location and move it back to the correct file path.
- If the search results do not find the document in question it has most likely been renamed or deleted from File Explorer and you will need to reach out to your IT to recover the document.
