You may receive the following alert, typically after a server migration:
"Alert! Your current Amicus Attorney Server address does not match the one registered for browser logins by members of your Firm."
Amicus Anywhere uses the MAC address of the server. If that changes, you will need to reset the Server Address.
Have an Amicus Administrator perform the following steps:
- Log into Amicus Attorney by CARET.
- Have the Administrator confirm they have a valid email address listed under the account profile. To check this, go to Office > Office - Preferences > General - My Profile, and select the Edit button.
- Go to Office > Administration - Firm Settings > Maintenance and select Utilities.
- Select the Reset button on the lower right, next to Reset Server Address.
- A Warning prompt displays informing you that this function will trigger an email notification to all Administrators.
- Click OK.
- Have the Amicus Administrator access the email matching the one set in their Amicus Attorney by CARET profile as the default email address.
- Locate the new email sent from noreply@abacusnext.com.
If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your spam\junk folder.
- Select the Activation link in the email received, to complete the Server Reset. You will automatically be redirected to the Amicus Anywhere login page. DO NOT LOGIN, as the server address hasn't been reset yet.
Please note it takes 15 minutes for the new MAC address to reset.
