To do this you MUST first setup a desktop mail client and configure your Amicus Online email account in it. Please check the knowledge base for articles on how to do so.
The first step is to export the PST file for the POP/IMAP mailbox.
Outlook 2007:
- In Outlook 2007, at the top of your ribbon, choose File
- Choose Import and Export
- Select Export to a file, then hit Next
- Click Personal File Folder (.pst), hit Next.
- Select the email account that you wish to export. Make sure you check the checkbox for Include Subfolders. Hit Next
- Click Browse to choose the location where you wish to save the Outlook Data File (.PST) and give it a file name. Select OK
- If you are exporting to an existing Outlook Data File (.pst), under Options, specify what to do when exporting items that already exist in the file.
- Click Finish
This should begin the exporting of your .pst file. Once completed, you will find it in the location you selected.
Outlook 2010:
- At the top of your Outlook ribbon, choose the File tab
- Choose Options
- You will see the Outlook Options screen. Select Advanced
- Under the export section, choose Export
- Choose Export to a File, hit next
- Choose Outlook Data File (.PST), hit Next
- Select the email account that you wish to export. Make sure you check the checkbox for Include Subfolders. Hit Next
- Click Browse to choose the location where you wish to save the Outlook Data File (.PST) and give it a file name. Select OK
- If you are exporting to an existing Outlook Data File (.pst), under Options, specify what to do when exporting items that already exist in the file.
- Click Finish
Outlook 2016:
- In Outlook 2007, at the top of your ribbon, choose File
- Choose Import and Export
- Select Export to a file, then hit Next
- Click Outlook Data File (.pst), hit Next.
- Select the email account that you wish to export. Make sure you check the checkbox for Include Subfolders. Hit Next
- Click Browse to choose the location where you wish to save the Outlook Data File (.PST) and give it a file name. Select OK
- If you are exporting to an existing Outlook Data File (.pst), under Options, specify what to do when exporting items that already exist in the file.
- Click Finish
This should begin the exporting of your .pst file. Once completed, you will find it in the location you selected.
To import data into your Amicus Cloud account, follow the instructions here:
- At the top of your Outlook ribbon, select File
- Select Open & Export> Import/Export. This starts the Import/Export wizard
- Select Import from another program or file, and then click Next
- Select Outlook Data File (.pst)and click Next
- Browseto the .pst file you want to import. Under Options, choose how you want to deal with emails and contacts, then choose Next
- If the password was assigned to .pst file while exporting, enter it and click OK
- Select your amicus cloud mailbox that you wish to import the data to. MAKE SURE YOU ARE IMPORTING TO YOUR AMICUS CLOUD ACCOUNT
- Choose Finish. Outlook starts importing the contents of your .pst file immediately. When the progress box disappears, the import is finished
Outlook 2011 for Mac:
- On the Outlook for Mac File menu, select Import…
- Choose Outlook for Windows archive file (.pst), and then choose Continue
- Locate the data file on your computer, and then choose Import
- When the import process is complete, choose Finish
When the import is complete, enable the Cached Exchange Mode again.
