Resetting the Outlook\Exchange contacts and calendar link - Best Practices
Best Practices for re-setting the exchange or Outlook stand alone link.
Due to the possibility of duplicated contacts please follow these steps when\if you reset your link.
Select Calendar & Contacts under Links
Select Step 1 (if on exchange select Test Connection)
Use the arrow to navigate to Link Preferences -> People\Contacts
Set this to NO. (This is to avoid any duplication of contacts in Outlook\Exchange)
Use the arrows to go to the next screen
Under Link Preferences – Appointments select the date you wish to initialize from.
For best practices please chose the date of your last successful synchronization.
Use the arrow to toggle to Tasks and select the Initialization date here as well.
Select Step 3
Use the arrow to toggle through the screens and leave the defaults.
Select Step 4 – Initialization – check off all the boxes.
If on Exchange select the Send Sticky option. Your Amicus Administrator will be notified and will schedule your synchronization.
If on Outlook stand-alone select Step % and then Reset.
Select the data of your last successful initialization.
Once the process has completed you will receive a notification that the process is complete.
Go back to Step 2 and select Yes to Exchange with People\Contacts
Log out and then back into Amicus.
