Fixing Advantage Error 7017

This article applies to the ADS version of AbacusLaw by CARET only.

Advantage error 7017 is triggered when bad indexes exist in the data directory preventing users from logging in. Follow these steps to correct the error.

  1. Close AbacusLaw by CARET.

  2. Open the \Abacus\v23\data01 directory.

  3. Sort Windows Explorer by Type.

  4. Delete all .cdx files. (Only the .cdx files!)

  5. Open AbacusLaw by CARET.
