How to Manually Change Read-Only Attribute of Abacus Directory

If you are unable to remove the Read-only attribute of the Abacus directory by unchecking the Read-only box under the properties window, you can change it manually using the command prompt.

1. Open the command prompt by going to the start menu and entering “cmd” in the search field and pressing the Enter key.
2. In the command prompt enter:
   • note(((allcap))=. attrib –r C:\Abacus*.* /s
     • The actual path to your Abacus directory may be different than the one shown here.
3. You’re done! The Abacus directory and all the sub folders and files it contains now have the Read-only attribute removed.
