If you are unable to remove the Read-only attribute of the Abacus directory by unchecking the Read-only box under the properties window, you can change it manually using the command prompt.
- Open the command prompt by going to the start menu and entering “cmd” in the search field and pressing the Enter key.
- In the command prompt enter:
- note(((allcap))=. attrib –r C:\Abacus*.* /s
- The actual path to your Abacus directory may be different than the one shown here.
- note(((allcap))=. attrib –r C:\Abacus*.* /s
- You’re done! The Abacus directory and all the sub folders and files it contains now have the Read-only attribute removed.
