Increasing the Length of Fields in AbacusLaw by CARET

Ensure all users have logged out of all AbacusLaw by CARET programs and create a backup of your data. You cannot edit the database when people are using the database.
Select File > Setup > Database structures.
The Data Structure window opens. Set Database to Edit to the database that contains the field you want to edit.
Double-click the Length value for the field you want to change.
Type the new length and click Done.
The Pending Changes Exist window opens. Click Execute changes and create new databases to commit any changes.
