This article will cover all the items that are required to access the OfficeTools Mobile Companion App.
1. OfficeTools Desktop Update
All workstations must be updated to version 3.1.363 or greater, in order for the OfficeTools Mobile Companion App to work regardless if the user will be accessing the app or not. In order for the mobile app to sync with your desktop software, the server components will also need to be updated. Please visit the changelog to download the update and server components.
2. Retrieve your OfficeTools Account Number
This number will be required to log in to the app.
The account number can be found by going to Setup>My Company>Information and Settings>.
3. Setup your Staff email account
Your login will be the email address tied to your staff account in OfficeTools. To set this up navigate to Setup>Staff>Information.
4. Set up your Staff Account Password.
If you do not use a password to login to the OfficeTools desktop application you will be required to use a password in order to use the mobile app. To set up a password go to Setup>Staff>Information>Admin. Insert a password, it must be a minimum of 8 characters long in order for the Mobile Companion App to work.
5. Download the OfficeTools Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play. We support iOS and Android devices.
You are now ready to login into the OfficeTools Mobile Companion!
Please note: Do not enter the dashes into the Account Number field or you will receive an error about "Invalid Credentials"
