How to enable a Billing Restriction date

Amicus Billing by CARET, allows Firm's to restrict all Billing functions prior to a date defined by the firm.

Setting the Restrict Billing Entries Prior to date determines when users receive a warning. If a user attempts to create, edit, or delete a billing transaction dated before this restriction date, Amicus Billing by CARET will display a warning.

This warning applies to the following billing items:

• Time Entries
• Expense Entries
• Trust Checks and Receipts
• Trust to AR Transfers
• Trust File-to-File Transfers
• Receipts
• General Retainer Refunds
• Bills
• Write Ups/Downs
• Reminder Statements

To set the Restrict Billing Entries Prior to date:

1. Log into Amicus as an Administrator

2. Go to Office > Firm Settings > General - Fiscal Year.

3. Under the Restrict Billing Entries Prior to set the required date.

4. Click Apply or Click Ok to save changes.
