Amicus Attorney by CARET offers Firm Member Preferences to set Appointment Reminds and/or Change Notifications via E-mail.
Users can set Preferences for Calendar Events in Amicus Attorney by CARET to automatically send e-mails for:
Appointment Reminders to notify People associated with an Appointment of the upcoming Event.
Change Notifications to notify Persons associated with an Event that has been rescheduled or otherwise changed.
Firm Members can also set a Preference to have Amicus E-mail their agenda to themselves each day.
Amicus Attorney by CARET Administrators will be notified via E-mail when:
Amicus Attorney by CARET Updates are available
A firm member attempts to log in more than 5 times with an incorrect password in a 5 minute period.
To Enable E-mail Notifications
Log into Amicus Attorney by CARET as an Administrator.
Go to the Office > Administration - Firm Settings > General - Notifications.
The General - Notifications screen appears.
Choose how you want email sent from Amicus Attorney by CARET:
Using your firm‘s internal e-mail service
(via your firm's own Microsoft Exchange Server’s Relay Service or an SMTP server)
You will need to know your firm's SMTP settings if you choose to use the firm's internal e-mail service.
or
Use Amicus cloud-based service (Recommended for a Hosted Exchange environment)
This is the preferred method.
Click the Test Now button to send a test e-mail to the address listed as your Primary E-mail address in Amicus Attorney by CARET. Confirm you receive the email address which comes from noreply@abacusnext.com.
If the email goes to your Junk Email box, you‘ll need to set this Sender to your e-mail provider's Safe Sender’s list. We recommend that you advise all Firm Members to do so as well.
Any failure to relay a notification will be recorded to the Amicus Server Log (SMTP log), available from the Windows Start menu at the Server: Amicus > Server Logs or Server Logs - Alternate.
Reasons for not receiving notifications
- The domain @abacusnext.com is black listed or marked as spam
- The firm's Internal SMTP has changed
