When configuring or opening PDFs you may receive the following error:
To resolve the issue:
- Go to Office > Preferences and select Document Assembly under the Documents section.
- Under Step 3 beside the Adobe Acrobat/Reader option, click Remove to uninstall the toolbar.
- Open Adobe or Acrobat Reader.
- Select Edit > Preferences, then select Security (Enhanced).
- Uncheck the boxes for Enable Protected Mode at startup and Enable Enhanced Security.
- Click OK to save the changes and exit Adobe.
- In Amicus Attorney go to Office > Preferences and select Document Assembly under the Documents section.

Under Step 3 beside the Adobe Acrobat/Reader option, click Install.
- Confirm the Amicus toolbar is present in Adobe.
If you do not see the same options in Adobe, please consult Adobe support online as these steps may not be applicable to all versions.
