Test connection fails when configuring email integration
h3 Configuring Email integration for a Firm Member
Firm settings for Exchange must be configured correctly by the Amicus Administrator.
Username/ Domain/ Server Name can be obtained from your local IT Administrator or Hosted Exchange Provider.
Most often your password for Exchange is the same as your windows login password. In some cases some Administrators will create a separate password for Exchange for added security.
Testing your password
To ensure you are entering the correct password to access your email exchange account. Login to Outlook Web Access with your email address and password. If successful proceed to configure your Firm Settings for Exchange with the correct Domain and Server name ( Server Name is the Name of the Exchange Server)
If the Test connection is still unsuccessful.
Check the following inbound Rule on the Windows Firewall on the Application Server
Amicus PE Service uses port 49259
Amicus Exchange Sync Service uses port 49510
If the Rule is configured. Now test the connection and you should be able to get a successful test connection.
