Default Linked Name and Matter in Notes

When adding new notes to a matter, you can set a client's linked name as the default. Or, when adding new notes to a name, you can set a linked matter as the default.

Follow these steps to enable this feature.

1. Select File > Setup > User Preferences.
   
   
2. The User Preferences window opens. Select the Appearance tab.
   
   
3. Check Init linked name (to add the linked name to matter notes) and check Init linked matter (to add the linked matter to name notes) and click Done.
   
   

Now, when you add a name note, the linked matter will auto-populate. And when you add a matter note, the linked name will auto-populate.
