This malfunction occurs when there is a problem with the indexes within the AbacusLaw by CARET program. To clear the pop-ups, delete the index files within AbacusLaw by CARET.
- Close the AbacusLaw by CARET program and ensure that all users are out of AbacusLaw by CARET, Abacus Accounting, Message Slips, and Outlook.
- Open the \Abacus\V23\data01 folder.
- Double click DBFFIX.BAT to run the file.
- The Command Prompt opens. Press any key to continue.
- Re-open AbacusLaw by CARET. The program will begin re-indexing the software and now only current alarms will display.
