Getting an IP Address Returned when Pinging the Server

This article applies to the ADS version of AbacusLaw by CARET only.

To ensure that your ADS.ini has the correct server IP address, follow these steps to ping the server name in the Command Prompt.

  1. In the Start menu, enter cmd and select Command Prompt.

  2. In the Command Prompt enter: Ping <server name> -4.

  3. Press Enter. The IP address in IPv4 is displayed.
