- Open Computer from your Start menu, or File Explorer.
- Right-click on This PC and click Map network drive.
- In the Map Network Drive window, click the drive letter from the dropdown list adjacent to Drive. The drive letter used should be the same on all workstations that are running AbacusLaw.
- Now, either type the path for the shared folder (example \\SERVER\Abacus) or click the Browse button and select the folder to be mapped as highlighted above (this should be the path to the network share on the server).
- Ensure that your mapped drive is mapped using the server name, not the server's IP address! For example, \\SERVER\Abacus, NOT \\196.168.1.5\Abacus. License verification fails if it is mapped via IP address.

- In the Browse for Folder dialog box, navigate to the folder to be mapped, then press Ok.
- Click Finish button in the Map Network Drive window.
