PROCEDURE:
- Open the QuickBooks company file in single-user mode (select File > Switch to Single User Mode if the file was opened in multi-user mode).
- Select File > Save Copy or Backup.
- Select the Backup copy radio button in the Save Copy or Backup window.
- Click Next.
- Select the Local backup radio button.
- Click Next.
- Click Browse in the Backup Options screen and select a location on your company drive to save the backup file.
- Click OK.
- Click Use this Location in the next screen.
- Click Save it now when prompted to save the backup copy.
- Click Next.
- Click OK to dismiss the warning about saving the backup to a remote computer.
- In the Save backup screen, verify that the backup will be saved to your company drive.
- Click Save.
QuickBooks backs up the file. The backup is accessible from your company drive (via the Cloud Files icon or the e-Dashboard). To move the backup to a local computer, simply open the Cloud Files and copy-paste the file from your company drive to the C: drive on your local computer.
Note: Cloudnine performs full nightly backups of your data.
