On networks with two or more users, AbacusLaw by CARET requires a server or PC not assigned to an individual user. AbacusLaw by CARET specifies a dedicated server because we know your data is valuable to your practice. Any workstation running multiple programs (desktop or laptop) has a much higher chance of locking up and corrupting irreplaceable data.  

Single to 5 User Network Server or Workstation

• 4 GB of hard disk available (install footprint is 350 MB)
• Maximum network latency from the workstation to the database server should be 1 ms or less

Networks with 6-10 Users

Networks with Greater than 10 Users

Email Integration

• In order to integrate emails with AbacusLaw by CARET, use Microsoft Outlook 2013 or higher.
  • Note that integration is only offered with 32-bit versions of Outlook
