When enabling the Outlook add-in when using an exchange server, caching should be turned on. A warning now appears if caching is not turned on.
To turn on caching, follow these steps:
- In Microsoft Outlook, go to File > Info. Select Account Settings.
- Ensure that the default email is highlighted (if there is more than one) and select Change.
- Check Use Cached Exchange Mode. Then, set the slider to the length of time you would like to cache. The longer time selected, the larger the Outlook profile, which affects performance time. Therefore, 3 months is recommended. Click Next.
- Select Done and restart Outlook.
