The logo used for your firm on the portal will be positioned different to allow for a more mobile friendly experience for your clients. In the event your logo does not reappear on the updated new UI you can upload your logo again via the portal by going to settings and customize.
Portal Security Changes
Enhanced encryption of documents in transit and at rest. Along with Improved server security and auditing.
Portal Workflow Changes
Please note the following changes to the OfficeTools Client Portal will be enforced immediately:
*Versions 3.2 and 3.1 will experience the following if 3.3.224 is not applied
- Email notification when a new client is synced to the portal: New Portal User Emails will now automatically generate and send without a preview.
- Resetting a client’s password: This feature is no longer available in all versions of OfficeTools; all portal password reset will need to be done through the website by using the “Forgot Password” link.
- Syncing a new Staff member to use the portal: New User email will not contain credential to enable a new users to use portal functionality.
*Versions prior to 3.3.200 may experience the following if 3.3.224 is not applied
- Syncing a new Staff member to use the portal: New User email will not contain credentials to enable a new users to use portal functionality.
Both updates have been made to further increase security. These features will no longer be available in previous versions of OfficeTools.
