Am I able to change how my Matters are named in CARET Legal?

Yes, you can set how new Matters will be named under Matter Options in you Firm Settings.

To access the Matter Options screen:

1. Click the down arrow in the top right and select Firm Settings from the drop-down list.
   
   
2. Click on Matters & Contacts in the navigation bar to expand the menu.
   
   
   
   
3. If you would like to pick up from a previous numbering system, select the SET STARTING MATTER NUMBER checkbox and enter the STARTING NUMBER for your cases in the field provided.|
   
   
4. You can also select an option from the drop-down list in the FORMAT field for your Matter names, and later return to this screen if you decide to make a change.
