Pre-Billing allows you to create draft versions of your invoices that can be reviewed by your staff before they are sent out to your clients. If your attorneys like to look over their billable work before their client is billed, Pre-Billing is the way to go.
With Pre-Billing, there are 4 stages that an invoice can be in. Depending on their status, certain actions can and cannot be performed on the Invoice.
Pre-Bill Invoice Stages:
Draft | Can: be fully edited, printed, deleted, submitted for approval and be approved Can’t: apply payments, Share via Caseway, and be voided |
Pending Approval | Can: be fully edited, printed, deleted and approved Can’t: apply payments, share via Caseway, be voided |
Approved | Can: apply payments, add internal notes, share via Caseway and voided Can’t: be edited or deleted (must be voided) |
Void | Can’t: be edited, deleted, shared via Caseway or have payments applied. |
