INTRODUCTION:
If an application needs to be updated in your APC environment, there are several methods to choose from.
Before we continue, please review and keep in mind all requests are subject to the following (unless scheduled through an appointment on our calendar):
- All requests are handled in the order in which they are received
- All software updates are applied Mon-Fri after 5:00PM PST, excluding Weekends
- Requests for software updates have approximately a 2-business day turnaround time*
- Tax software updates have approximately a 1-business day turnaround time*
*Turnaround times are subject to availability and current volume
APPLIES TO:
APC Clients requiring an application update on the Abacus Private Cloud environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Users requesting updates must be technical or authorized contacts on the APC account.
Software/application must already be installed, requests to install new software must be submitted using the method described in the hyperlink below:

PROCEDURE OPTIONS:
Self Service Update Program:
This feature allows APC Clients one user per firm the ability to install application updates anytime without having to contact APC Support for assistance.
In addition, the designated user will have the ability to reboot the VDI server(s) after a successful installation.

APC Scheduling Assistant:
This feature allows you to choose a specific date/time to schedule an update for installed software. Listed dates/times reflect current availability.

Submit a Ticket:
The Portal can be used to submit a ticket requesting to update installed software. APC technicians perform software update(s) after normal business hours, starting at 5PM server time.*
*Submitting requests via this method is only advised if the update is not critical or can be performed after business hours.

We understand there may be situations where an update cannot wait, or you may have a very specific need with your software update that is time sensitive; In these scenarios we have agents available that can assist with your request. APC technicians will update the requested program during business hours.*
* All users must be logged out of the server during the update process.
