CARET endeavors to provide optional integrations between Amicus Attorney and third-party software including, but not limited to Microsoft products and other practice management and accounting solutions. Due to technology limitations working with third-party providers, CARET is unable to warrant the performance of these integrations.
CARET support staff may make recommendations on integration best practices, version alignment, and provide other suggestions. However, direct technical support regarding integrations requires a separate billable effort via CARET Professional Services.
During an Amicus Attorney by CARET subscription the following integrations may be available:
PCLaw Integration:
The Amicus Attorney-PCLaw link provides bi-directional integration with third-party provider PCLaw™.
You can map Amicus File and Contact information with PCLaw Matter and Client information, as well as Amicus Lawyers and File Types to PCLaw Lawyers and Types of Law. Files can be exchanged individually or you can perform a global exchange of all Files and Contacts.
A Link wizard guides you through configuration of the exchange options ensuring that Amicus Activities and Billing Rates are available in PCLaw, and that posted Time and Expenses go directly to PCLaw.
QuickBooks Integration:
Some configurations and features depend on whether or not your firm is licensed for Amicus Billing.
-
WITHOUT BILLING – This Link ensures that posted Time goes directly to QuickBooks without the need for a separate exchange process.
- WITH BILLING – Client Bills are generated and paid within Amicus Attorney by CARET. This Link ensures that Amicus Billing transactions (Receipts, General Retainer activity, Trust Receipts, Trust Checks, Trust to AR Transfers, and Trust File-to-File Transfers) are sent to QuickBooks. During setup, billing-related posting options are provided, and your Amicus accounts must be mapped to QuickBooks accounts. Client Costs in QuickBooks can be imported to Amicus as Expenses.
The dynamic QuickBooks link provides bi-directional integration. You can map Amicus File and Contact information with QuickBooks Job and Customer information, as well as Amicus Firm Members to QuickBooks Employees, Files Types to Types of Law, and optionally take advantage of QuickBooks Class Lists. Files can be exchanged individually or you can perform a global exchange of all Files and Contacts.
