Please make a backup of Amicus – Firm Settings – Maintenance – Utilities – Backup
This should be performed when users are logged out of Amicus to avoid locked records.
Please use the Amicus account of the user who has all of the Files and Contacts.

Filter your files e.g All Files\Active Files\Include Closed Files. You can also assign files associated with a specific lawyer, a specific File Type etc.

Highlight the Files you wish to assign to the user(s)

Hint: If you want to select all Files, select the first File in the list, scroll to the bottom of the list, hold down the shift key and select the last File in the list.

On the top menu bar select Actions

Select Change Assignment

In the left pane, select the Firm Member(s) who will be assigned to the files.

Click ‘>’ to the left of the Assign window.

Depending on the amount of files you may be presented with a progress bar.
Assigning Contacts

Highlight the People you wish to assign.

You can filter by group as well and assign only Clients.

Go to top menu bar and select Actions

Select Change Assignment

Select the Firm Members who will be assigned to the files from the left pane.

Click ‘>’ to the left of the Assign window.

Additional Settings\Setup
After you have reassigned Files and/or People You may also want to add the new Firm Member(s) to your workgroup and default users on new Files and People
Adding a Firm Member to your Workgroup

Select the Firm members in your Workgroup and add them to the right.

Click ‘>’ to assign the Firm Member to your Workgroup
Now if you open the Calendar Module, you will see the new Firm Member listed
in the upper left. This will allow you to open the new Firm Member’s calendar.

Adding a Firm Member to New Files automatically
This will automatically assign a Firm Member to all new files you create. It
will NOT assign the Firm Member to existing Files.

In the Office menu select Preferences

Under Files select New Entries

Click the blue Firm Member icon to the right of ‘Firm Members on New
Files’

Add your Firm members to the right.
Adding a Firm Member to new Contacts automtaically
This will automatically assign a Firm Member to all new people\contacts you create. It will NOT assign the Firm Member to existing People.

Thank you but this doesn't help at all. Please call me since my texts don't seem to make it clear what I am needing.
This going back and forth has caused problems here and I cant get my work done.
Please call me...I have been dealing with this since last week.
