For Word 2013 and newer
- Open Word and then go to File and then Open, browse to the Abacus directory on the network.
- Go to the Abacus\v23\Programs folder and then Select AbacusWordMacros.dotm and then click Open.
- This will open an Options button on the top of the application. Select it and click Enable This Content.
- The program will ask if you want to install the Abacus Word Macro you will need to agree and then continue through the installation.
- Once completed you will see the Save and Log to Abacus under the File menu.
Add the Macro to the Quick Access
- Open Word and then go to File and then Options.
- Select Quick Access Toolbar on the left side.
- Change the drop down for Choose commands from to All Commands.
- Select Save and Log to Abacus from the entire list
- Hit Add >> and OK.
This is important on Office 365 build 1902 where the macro will not appear under the file menu.
For Word 2010
- Open Word and then go to File and then Open, browse to the Abacus directory on the network.
- Go to the Abacus\v23\Programs folder and then Select AbacusWordMacros.dotm and then click Open.
- The program will ask if you want to install the Abacus Word Macro you will need to agree and then continue through the installation.
- Once completed you will see the Save and Log to Abacus under the File menu.
For WordPerfect
Open WordPerfect and then click on Tools, Macro and then click on Play. You will need to then scroll to the Abacus\v23\Programs directory on the network and search for the file called WP8INST.wcm. Highlight this file and then click on Play. WordPerfect will ask if you are sure you want to install the Abacus macro say yes to continue. The Abacus Save and Log macro should now be installed.
